THE CELLAR

The cellar was built during the 1800's.  Over the compassing years, the different Fischer winemakers have won several prizes and awards for their excellent wines they have produced for KWV and Distillers.

For the last couple of years however, Klein Bottelary did not produce their own wines any longer.  Therefore we have decided to also use the old cellar with its beautiful wooden ceilings to complement our venue.

Old cement wine tanks have made place for a spacious area - full of character - that we now use for wedding ceremonies or alternatively for birthday functions, year end functions, conferences, workshops etc.

On some of the interior walls of the cellar the acidic acid from the red wines made in years gone by, is still visible.
